Research
I am a theoretical ecologist using mathematical modeling to better understand the population- and community-level impacts of changing temperature regimes and heatwaves. My work is focused on using the tools of ecological theory to better understand, manage, and protect ecosystems facing unprecedented anthropogenic changes.
Other
Outside of research, I work as a Graduate Writing Fellow through the Poorvu Center’s Graduate Writing Lab to provide support for other graduate students’ communications skills through individual consultations and workshops. I also work in science communications and outreach, currently through my position writing monthly newsletters as a science correspondent for the Kent Land Trust.
